‘Sick and F*cking Tired!’ Marjorie Taylor Greene Loses it On Capitol Hill Reporter Asking About Trump’s Jan. 6 Pardons
Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) had a fiery exchange with a reporter who questioned her about the recent pardons granted by President Donald Trump to individuals connected with the January 6th Capitol riot. The encounter, which Greene later posted on social media, highlighted her frustration with the press and their focus on the issue.
During the conversation, reporter Melanie Zanona from Punchbowl News asked Greene if there were plans for the pardoned individuals to visit the Capitol and meet with her or other members of Congress. Greene reacted strongly, steering the discussion away from the January 6th pardons and instead criticizing the pardons issued by former President Joe Biden.
“Is this really all you care about?” Greene fired back. “The January 6 people who got pardoned? Why don’t you talk about the Biden family pardons? What about the rapists, murderers, and killers that Joe Biden pardoned? There are plenty of them.”
Greene’s tone grew more frustrated as she vented her dissatisfaction with the media in Washington, D.C. “I’ve been dealing with this for four years, and I’ve had enough,” she said. “Your assumptions are ignorant, and you have no idea what truly matters to Americans. You’ve lost all credibility. With platforms like X, you can’t lie about me anymore.”
Zanona clarified that her question was specifically about the January 6th pardons, but Greene made it clear she had no interest in discussing the topic. “I’m not doing this!” Greene said firmly. “This place is insane, and your obsession with January 6th is absurd. People outside of D.C. are sick and tired of hearing about it. I’m serious.”
She then accused left-leaning media outlets of being overly fixated on the Capitol riot. “It’s nauseating,” Greene said. “I’ve seen endless coverage on Democrat-run networks about January 6th. They can’t stop talking about it, but they don’t care about real Americans and what they’re going through.”
Zanona countered by pointing out that House Republicans had recently formed a subcommittee to investigate the work of the January 6th committee, suggesting the topic was still relevant. Greene, however, dismissed this, expressing her deep frustration with the media’s focus on the matter.
“I’m so sick of all of this nonsense,” Greene exclaimed. “I really am! You people just keep pushing this same tired narrative.”
The confrontation showcased Greene’s anger at what she perceives as a disconnect between the media’s priorities and the concerns of everyday Americans. She emphasized that she believes the press is out of touch and overly focused on political drama instead of addressing issues that truly matter to the public.
