Steve Bannon unloaded on Elon Musk, calling him a “truly evil guy” who must be run out of the MAGA movement.

Musk spent more than a quarter of a million dollars to help return President-elect Donald Trump to the White House. The billionaire Tesla CEO and owner of X has been a fixture at Mar-a-Lago ever since, with some reports indicating Musk’s near-constant presence is wearing on Trump.

“I will have Elon Musk run out of here by Inauguration Day,” Bannon, a former Trump White House adviser, told the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera in an interview published on Wednesday. The article was flagged on Saturday by Bannon’s former employer, Breitbart, which published excerpts in English.

“He is a truly evil guy, a very bad guy. I made it my personal thing to take this guy down,” Bannon said. “Before, because he put money in, I was prepared to tolerate it; I’m not prepared to tolerate it anymore.”

Bannon again took issue with H-1B visas, which Musk supports. Those visas allow companies to sponsor skilled professionals from other countries to work in the United States. Critics say the program harms American workers because businesses use H-1Bs to bring in cheaper labor from other countries instead of hiring domestically.

“This thing of the H-1B visas, it’s about the entire immigration system is gamed by the tech overlords, they use it to their advantage, the people are furious,” Bannon said.

In addition to Musk, Bannon blasted David Sacks and Peter Thiel, who also have roots in apartheid South Africa.

“Peter Thiel, David Sacks, Elon Musk, are all white South Africans,” Bannon said. “He should go back to South Africa. Why do we have South Africans, the most racist people on earth, white South Africans, we have them making any comments at all on what goes on in the United States?”

Bannon took particular umbrage at a reply Musk made to a tweet suggesting Americans are “retarded.”

“That pretty much sums it up,” Musk wrote in a post last month that has since been deleted.

“He went out of his way to mock our movement as racist and retards, and he lost,” Bannon said. “We blew him out of the water. He won’t fight. He’s got the maturity of a little boy.”

The former Trump adviser added that Musk’s “sole objective is to become a trillionaire

“He will do anything to make sure that any one of his companies is protected or has a better deal or he makes more money,” Bannon said. “His aggregation of wealth, and then — through wealth — power: that’s what he’s focused on.”

He also accused Musk of wanting to implement “techno-feudalism on a global scale. I don’t support that and we’ll fight it.”

Bannon has previously highlighted Musk’s ties to China, where Tesla has a large factory in Shanghai.

“The Shanghai joint venture is a hundred percent controlled by the [Chinese Communist Party],” Bannon said in March 2023. “This is why he never goes after the CCP. This is why he always backs off. This is when they had the protest, they had the protest about the lockdowns of Covid. He will not do it.”

He added that Musk “is a total and complete phony” and”is in bed and his business partner” before concluding that “he is owned lock, stock, and barrel by the Chinese Communist Party, and he acts like it.”

On the 100th anniversary of the CCP in 2021, Musk praised China’s “economic prosperity.”
