Elon Musk, the billionaire CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has revealed that he fears for his life due to his efforts to combat corruption within the U.S. government.

Speaking on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast on February 28, Musk opened up about the death threats he has received and the risks he faces as he pushes for greater transparency and efficiency in government operations.

Musk, who has been working with the Department of Government Efficiency (Doge) to tackle corruption, admitted that his outspoken stance has made him a target. “This is really going to get me assassinated,” he told Rogan. “I’m not lengthening my lifespan by explaining this stuff, to say the least. I mean, I’m supposed to go back to DC—how long am I going to survive?”

The 53-year-old entrepreneur expressed concern that his anti-corruption efforts could provoke desperate individuals who rely on corrupt systems for their livelihoods. “If I push too hard on the corruption stuff, people get desperate. If the money flow cuts off, then they can’t afford school for their kids. Then they’re like, ‘F** you, I’m gonna kill you for my kids,’ Musk said.

He added that while he aims to address corruption to keep society functioning, fully dismantling it could have deadly consequences. “If I fully destroy the corruption and the graft, they will kill me. I strive to be alive. But it’s a real concern.”

Musk also recounted two previous assassination attempts on his life, both of which occurred before he became involved in politics. He described the would-be assassins as individuals with severe mental illness, one of whom believed Musk had implanted a chip in his head.

Before I supported Trump, there were two guys who traveled to Austin to kill me,” Musk said. “It wasn’t like they had a ‘I disagree with him politically and that’s why he needs to die’—this was before I got smeared as some sort of Nazi. Before the propaganda wave.”

The tech mogul linked the increase in threats to the negative portrayal of him in the mainstream media, which he claims has labeled him a “Nazi” and other derogatory terms. “The more the MSM talks about you this way and says you’re a Nazi… they’re doing the same thing to me as they did to Trump,” Musk said. “They’re making it sound like if you kill me, you’re a hero. What they’re doing is evil.”

Musk’s comments come amid ongoing controversy surrounding his public image and political affiliations. During Donald Trump’s inauguration, Musk was photographed making a gesture that some interpreted as a Nazi salute, sparking widespread criticism.

Musk denied the allegations, stating, “I’m not a Nazi,” but acknowledged that the media narrative has fueled hostility toward him. “If the legacy media is saying I’m a Nazi and that’s all you read, then you’re like, ‘He’s Hitler. We should assassinate Hitler, shouldn’t we?’”

Despite the risks, Musk remains committed to his work with Doge and his broader mission to improve government efficiency. However, he admitted that the constant threats and negative attention have taken a toll. “It’s stressful,” he said.

They actually want to kill me. They say so online. There are Reddit forums where they don’t just want to kill me, they want to desecrate my corpse.”

As Musk continues to navigate the challenges of his high-profile career, his revelations highlight the dangers faced by public figures who challenge powerful systems and the impact of media narratives on public perception.
