When a fierce-looking priest was introduced to his new community, many people struggled to accept him. Some even started to suspect him of grave misconduct. The first meeting between George and his future congregation didn’t go the way he had hoped. Besides, they loved the current priest and didn’t want him to retire. The older generation believed that this younger replacement was an intruder trying to come in the way of a life that they all loved. They didn’t trust him and didn’t want to cooperate with the change. As far as they were concerned, he was not the right fit. They were going to try to get rid of him as fast as possible.
Some of them worked at the offices of the church and made it their mission to make George’s life miserable and dissuade him from staying. And soon, a few incidents would make them even more sure that they were right.
