Former President Donald Trump has launched an all-caps social media tirade following a report by The New York Times alleging that billionaire Elon Musk was set to receive a classified Pentagon briefing on U.S. military plans for a potential conflict with China. Trump vehemently denied the claims, calling the story “completely untrue” and accusing the media of spreading “disgraceful” lies.

In a series of posts on Truth Social, Trump targeted The New York Times and CNN, labeling them as “Fake News” and “the ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE.” He specifically attacked Times journalist Maggie Haberman, referring to her as “Maggot Hagerman” and accusing her of using fabricated sources. Trump also bizarrely claimed he deserved a Pulitzer Prize for his work.

The Times report, citing anonymous government sources, claimed Musk was expected to review a 20-30 slide presentation detailing potential Chinese targets and U.S. military strategies in the event of war. The article raised questions about Musk’s business ties to China and his potential influence on national security matters.

Trump dismissed the report, stating, “China will not even be mentioned or discussed,” and insisted that Musk was “NOT BEING BRIEFED ON ANYTHING CHINA BY THE DEPARTMENT OF WAR!!!”

Elon Musk has not publicly commented on the allegations, leaving the situation shrouded in speculation. Trump’s outburst is the latest in a series of increasingly combative social media posts as he remains a polarizing figure in U.S. politics.
