Trump Throws Absolute Fit In Middle-Of-The-Night Meltdown At Ex-GOP Official

Early Friday morning, President Donald Trump used his Truth Social account to attack Geoff Duncan, the former lieutenant governor of Georgia, who officially left the Republican Party this week to become a Democrat.

In his post, Trump called Duncan a “total loser” and claimed he “never got anything done” and “only complained.” Trump also said Republicans didn’t want Duncan in the party anymore and mocked his chances as a Democrat.

Duncan, once a Republican who voted for Trump in 2020, broke with him after the election when Trump pressured officials in Georgia and other states to overturn Joe Biden’s victory. Duncan, along with Georgia Governor Brian Kemp and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, refused to go along with Trump’s false claims of fraud. Trump attacked all three repeatedly, but Kemp and Raffensperger still won reelection easily in 2022. Duncan chose not to run again.

Since leaving office, Duncan has become a frequent media commentator and outspoken Trump critic. In 2023, he compared Trump’s moral compass to “an ax murderer” and accused him of turning the GOP into something like a “rogue cult,” claiming the former president had brainwashed the party.

Duncan even spoke at the Democratic National Convention last year to endorse Kamala Harris. Some political observers believe he may run for governor of Georgia as a Democrat in 2026, when Kemp is term-limited.
