Trump Would Be in Jail Without Him!” – Top Law Professor Drops Bombshell in Explosive Feud Over Ex-Ally Leonard Leo

Law professor John Yoo strongly criticized Donald Trump after the former president publicly attacked the conservative legal group known as the Federalist Society and its former leader, Leonard Leo. This all started when Trump posted on social media, even sharing a bizarre post suggesting Joe Biden was a clone, which left many users shocked in the comments.

Trump didn’t hold back in his criticism, calling Leonard Leo a “real sleazebag” and claiming Leo was a bad person who, in Trump’s words, “probably hates America.” This came as a surprise to many, since Leo had worked closely with Trump during his presidency, helping him pick judges for the Supreme Court and other federal courts.

John Yoo, a conservative law professor and former government lawyer, said Trump’s comments were completely out of line. He reminded people that Leo played a big part in shaping the conservative majority in the Supreme Court, which led to major decisions like overturning Roe v. Wade in 2022. Yoo said Trump owes Leo and the Federalist Society a lot because they gave him the legal advice and support he needed, especially during the time he was fighting to stay in power after the 2020 election. According to Yoo, if it weren’t for judges tied to the Federalist Society, Trump could be in jail right now. These judges helped decide that former presidents can’t be easily prosecuted, which worked in Trump’s favor.

Trump’s harsh criticism came after a legal panel from the U.S. Court of International Trade blocked one of his key policies – the tariffs he placed on nearly all foreign trading partners. The court said Trump went too far by using emergency powers to impose those tariffs. Though the ruling was paused by an appeals court, Trump reacted by blaming the very people who had once helped him choose judges, saying they gave him bad advice.

In his post on Truth Social, Trump claimed that when he first arrived in Washington, he was told to rely on the Federalist Society for help choosing judges. He said he did that openly but later discovered they were being controlled by Leonard Leo, whom he now accuses of having personal ambitions and being harmful to the country.

Trump ended his rant by saying he felt let down by the Federalist Society and warned that people like Leo, who operate behind the scenes, should not be allowed to damage the nation.

In response, Leonard Leo pushed back on Trump’s accusations. He said he was proud to have played a part in helping reshape the federal courts during Trump’s time in office. He added that while there’s still more to be done, the U.S. judicial system is now stronger than it’s been in a long time – and that this will likely be one of Trump’s biggest legacies.
