Old lady Ekaterina Ivanovna walked slowly through the park, enjoying the silence and fresh air. In her hand, she held a leash on which her faithful shepherd dog, Naida, walked. Every morning, she and Naida went for a walk, and this park became a real second home for them. Ekaterina Ivanovna looked with love at her dog, who was always there and supported her.
But today, everything was different. When the old woman was walking along one of the alleys, two men came to meet her. Both looked drunk, staggering from side to side, but their looks were alarming. One of them approached Ekaterina Ivanovna with a grin and said, “Well, grandma, give me your bag. You don’t want any trouble, do you?” The second man began to laugh and added, “Yes, you can’t escape. Let’s better not bother us.” However, they did not know what awaited them.
At this moment, Naida, sensing a threat, immediately jumped up to the men and barked. The shepherd quickly rushed forward and forcefully knocked one of the criminals down, pinning him to the ground. The man, in horror, tried to escape, but the dog held him tightly, not allowing him to escape.
Another man, afraid that the same thing might happen to him, sensed danger and hurriedly rushed to the side, deciding to run away as quickly as possible. Passers-by who witnessed what was happening quickly took out their phones and called the police. Within a few minutes, patrol cars arrived. Police quickly detained the first man, who was still struggling with Naida on the ground, and subdued him. The second criminal, despite his attempt to escape, did not manage to get far.
The next day, the police quickly found the second criminal, who was unable to escape persecution. He was arrested in one of the neighboring areas where he tried to hide.
Ekaterina Ivanovna thanked the police for their quick work, but her gaze was directed at Naida. She hugged the dog close to her, proud of its courage and devotion. After all, it was she who saved her from robbery and possible danger. From that day on, the old woman walked confidently through the park again, knowing that a faithful protector would always be next to her.
