President-elect Donald Trump surprised the crowd at his pre-inauguration MAGA rally by bringing out The Village People for a live performance of “Y.M.C.A.” – complete with his famous “Trump dance.”

After the nearly three-hour rally at the Capital One Arena in Washington, DC, all six members of the band joined Trump on stage. As they performed, Trump did his signature dance moves, energizing the cheering audience.

Trump began using the songs “Macho Man” and “Y.M.C.A.” at his rallies back in 2020, often adding his own unique dance. This performance marked a new chapter in his relationship with the band. In 2023, Karen Willis, the manager and wife of band founder Victor Willis, sent Trump a cease-and-desist letter for using their music without permission, especially after a lookalike band performed at Mar-a-Lago.

However, since then, Victor Willis approved the use of their music at Trump rallies, saying it brought joy to many Americans.
