Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) emphasized the urgency of confirming President-elect Donald Trump’s cabinet nominees during an interview on *Sunday Morning Futures*. Speaking with anchor Maria Bartiromo, Graham called for quick action, citing national security concerns and the challenges posed by immigration.

Graham stated that Trump’s cabinet picks should be confirmed by the end of January or February at the latest, arguing that any delays would compromise national security. “When President Trump left office, we had the most secure border in American history,” he said. He criticized the policies of the last four years, blaming them for a less secure border, reengagement with the Iran nuclear deal, and what he described as a decline in U.S. global security.

Bartiromo referenced Trump’s recent meeting with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, suggesting that the conversation likely included concerns about mass migration and terrorism. She asked Graham whether Trump’s nominees would be confirmed quickly. Graham expressed confidence, saying, “Do them quick. Get them all done in January – February. We need our team on the field.”

He reiterated his belief that the country is in a precarious position, adding, “We’re under attack here. We’re at war!” Graham also pledged to support all of Trump’s cabinet picks, concluding, “We’re under siege!”

The senator’s remarks underscore the Republican Party’s focus on border security and national defense as key priorities for Trump’s incoming administration.
