White House issues brutal statement in response to Elon Musk after dropping ‘really big bomb’ claim on Donald Trump

Elon Musk and Donald Trump, who used to be close allies, have now fallen out publicly. Their friendship has taken a dramatic turn, and it’s all playing out in statements, social media posts, and interviews.

It started when Musk’s short role as a government adviser ended. He had been working as a special employee in a department focused on government efficiency. He reportedly left because he didn’t agree with how Trump wanted to spend money in a new proposal called the “One Big Beautiful Bill.” Despite the silly name, Trump claims it would massively cut government expenses and reduce taxes by \$1.6 trillion. Musk didn’t like it at all and made his opinion clear.

That’s when things got messy. Trump posted on his platform, Truth Social, saying he wasn’t surprised Musk turned against him, but that it should have happened sooner. He defended his bill, calling it one of the best ever and warned that if it didn’t pass, taxes would skyrocket. He made it clear he believes he’s trying to fix the country and bring it back to greatness.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt took Trump’s side, saying Musk is only upset because the bill didn’t include what he wanted. She called the whole situation unfortunate for Musk and said Trump is focused on passing the bill and helping the country. She doubled down on that message during an interview on Fox News, saying Trump remains the clear leader of the Republican Party and that the bill is a major step forward.

Things got even more heated when Musk went online and called Trump’s bill “a disgusting abomination.” He told people to fight against it. In response, Trump said during a meeting with Germany’s Chancellor that Musk had “Trump derangement syndrome.”

Musk didn’t stay quiet. He fired back online, claiming he was a big reason Republicans won the election and even hinted that Trump might be connected to the Jeffrey Epstein files—though he gave no proof.

Trump answered with another post, saying Musk was acting out because Trump had ended a rule that would have forced people to buy electric vehicles, something Musk would have benefited from. Trump said Musk had known for months this change was coming, and when it happened, he “went crazy.”

What started as a political disagreement has now turned into a full-blown feud, with both men accusing each other of betrayal and bad behavior. It’s unlikely we’ll see them smiling together again any time soon.
