Zhenya woke up every morning, covered with dirty blankets and cardboard, which served as a temporary shelter from the cold wind. She didn’t remember how she ended up on the street, nor did she know how long it had been since her life had been turned upside down. The only thing that remained in her heart was her love for little Maxim, her son. She sang him lullabies every day to calm him down and give him hope for the best.
In the morning, Zhenya stood up, trying to gather her strength. She knew she had to find food for Maxim. Their days were spent searching for a piece of bread, and they often returned empty-handed. But even in the most difficult moments, Zhenya did not lose hope.
Whenever she began to sing, passers-by stopped to listen to her voice. Sometimes, someone would leave her some change—precious coins that she used to buy bread and water. One day, when Zhenya decided to perform in a busy square, a crowd gathered around her. She sang like never before, her voice sounding like a soft whisper of the wind, penetrating people’s hearts. They admired her talent and generously left money in her hat.
Zhenya thought that her singing could become a source of income, and this realization filled her with a new sense of purpose. She could provide Maxim with food, and that was the most important thing.
Artemi was among the spectators. A businessman and owner of a chain of musical instrument stores, he stopped to listen, and suddenly his heart started beating faster. In this voice, he recognized his wife, Zhenya, who had disappeared many years ago. Artemi had searched for her tirelessly, but all his efforts had been fruitless. He couldn’t believe his ears when he heard a familiar tune.
When Zhenya finished her performance, Artemi approached her. His heart pounded with excitement as he said her name. Zhenya looked at him in confusion, but in his eyes, she saw something familiar. Suddenly, fragments of memories began to surface—how they loved each other, how their son Maxim was born.
Tears filled her eyes as she realized it was really him. Her husband, who had never stopped looking for her. Artemi hugged Zhenya, and their meeting became the beginning of a new life.
Maxim, who had been by his mother’s side all this time, looked curiously at the man who hugged his mother. Artemi took them by the hand and led them home, to the very house where they once dreamed of a future together.
Time flew in their new home. They shared memories, laughed, and cried, recalling everything they had experienced. Zhenya once again felt the warmth and comfort she had missed so much on the streets. She and Artemi raised Maxim together, telling him stories about their love and the importance of never losing hope.
The family was together again, and every day began with Zhenya’s songs, which now filled their home with joy and light.
