I Just Met This Guy, He Took Me To a Hotel When We Got There, What He Did Left Me Outraged
As I entered a place to get some food one day, I played with my phone while waiting for my order. A determined man named Victor approached me with a smile. He said he’d been trying to catch my eye from a distant table.
He pointed to where he sat and mentioned that I hadn’t noticed him. I apologized, explaining I was absorbed in my phone. Victor commented on how phones seem to grab attention and then asked for my number. I didn’t mind, so I gave it to him. Doubting the number, he called it right there, confirming it.
We chatted briefly before I left. The next day, we texted. During our conversation, he asked if I’d marry someone much older. I replied that age didn’t matter as long as I liked the person. Taking this positively, he asked me out, and I agreed to meet him the following day.
Having my own dating rules, I texted him not to stay out past 8:00 PM. He agreed. The next day, we met at the same place and then went to a nearby bar for drinks. Victor wanted to drive, but I suggested walking as it wasn’t far. Reluctantly, he agreed, and we took his car, a Range Rover.
During the ride and at the bar, Victor was a perfect gentleman. However, some women at the bar gave me unfriendly looks, even hooting at me. Victor seemed oblivious, focusing solely on me. Despite the negative attention, I agreed to see him again for a second date.
Although I enjoyed his company, I didn’t feel a deeper connection. We tried a different restaurant the next day, but it didn’t have the food we wanted. Victor suggested a restaurant with a guesthouse. There, he suggested getting a room, which shocked me. I refused, expressing my discomfort and need for time.
Ignoring my feelings, Victor insisted on getting a room or just a kiss. Feeling trapped, I texted a friend for help, pretending there was an emergency with my mother. Though Victor saw through the ruse, he eventually agreed to take me home.
When he dropped me off, he promised to bring me food later. Hungry, I waited, but when I insisted I wouldn’t leave with him, he got angry and left.
The next day, I lost my phone. Despite not having feelings for Victor, I found a way to contact him weeks later. We talked often and eventually became a couple, even though he was wealthy and unmarried.
Concern arose when Victor mentioned still talking to his ex, who was trying to win him back. She was friends with a popular figure, raising my insecurities. Giving Victor an ultimatum, he chose me, claiming he cut off contact with his ex.
Yet, my worries persisted. Victor wanted me to visit him in the US, but school prevented it. He assured me we’d prepare for marriage upon his return, but doubts lingered.
I struggled with trust issues and my own insecurities, fearing I wasn’t enough for Victor. I wanted our relationship to work but feared losing him to others.
