WATCH: President Trump Addresses Nation After Announcing US Dropped Bombs on Iranian Nuclear Sites

President Trump announced on Saturday evening that the United States carried out airstrikes on three major nuclear sites in Iran. He said the attacks were a complete success, and all American planes safely left Iranian airspace after dropping bombs on the Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan facilities. Trump described the Fordow site as the main target, which received the heaviest bombing. He praised the U.S. military, calling them the best in the world, and said now is the time for peace.
According to reports, B-2 bombers were used for the mission. Trump also said he would speak to the nation later that night from the White House about what he called a historic moment for the U.S., Israel, and the world. He insisted that Iran must now choose peace, or it would face even more serious consequences in the future.
Standing beside Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Vice President JD Vance, Trump addressed the country and gave a brief speech. He thanked the military and also expressed his gratitude to God. He said the goal of the strikes was to destroy Iran’s ability to enrich uranium and to stop the nuclear threat posed by a country he described as the world’s top sponsor of terrorism.
He claimed the operation was a huge success, saying that Iran’s nuclear sites were completely destroyed. Trump called Iran a bully and warned that if they don’t make peace now, future attacks would be even more powerful and much easier to carry out.
Trump reminded Americans that Iran has for decades promoted hatred against the U.S. and Israel, using bombs that killed or injured thousands, including many American troops. He mentioned Iranian General Qassem Soleimani, who was responsible for many of these deaths, and said he made a decision long ago to stop this kind of violence from continuing.
Trump also thanked Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Israeli military, saying they worked together as a strong team. He congratulated the American pilots and military forces who carried out the strikes and said that tonight’s mission was one of the most difficult but also the most successful in recent times.
He warned that if Iran refuses to accept peace, the U.S. has many more targets and can strike again with precision and speed. Trump said that most of those targets could be taken out in minutes. He emphasized that no other military in the world could have done what the U.S. did that night.
He ended his speech by announcing that General Dan “Razin” Caine and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth would hold a press conference the next morning at the Pentagon. Trump thanked everyone involved, gave thanks to God once more, and offered blessings to the Middle East, Israel, and the United States.
